WELCOME
BACK TO TENNIS 50+ PARTY
Saturday, April 22, 2006
The Durham-Orange Community Tennis Association (DOCTA) will
sponsor a Welcome Back 50+ Tennis Party on Saturday, April
22, 2006 from 4 to 7 pm. The host site is Chapel Hill Tennis
Club, 403 Westbrook Drive, Carrboro, NC. The event will
be rain or shine.
Come to this free party hosted by the United States Tennis
Association (USTA) and the International Council on Active
Aging (ICAA) that is designed specifically for active adults
50+ to get reacquainted with tennis. If you are a new or
former tennis player who is interested in getting started
in tennis programs, then this is the place to be. The event
is not intended for individuals who are currently participating
in a local tennis program or league.
Produce an old wood racquet to show off at the party and
win a special door prize. There will be lots of fun tennis
activities, food, drinks, door prizes and giveaways! Come
out and join us; and meet new friends. Tennis racquets will

and Anna will confirm your registration. Space is limited,
so reserve your space early for the fun!
Doubles clinics will be offered by Chapel Hill Tennis
Club on Tuesdays from 6:00 to 7:30 pm after the Welcome
Back to Tennis event. The fee will be $20 per session. The
first session will begin on May 2, 2006. The instructor
will be Mary Anne Kendall. Additional details will be provided
at the Welcome Back to Tennis Event on April 22, 2006.
