Do you love the sport of tennis? Has it been a few years
since you picked up a tennis racket or would you like to
learn the game? Well, we have a special event planned just
for you sponsored by the Durham-Orange Community Tennis
Association. It’s the Welcome Back 50+Tennis Party
on Saturday, April 9, 2005 from 4 pm to 7 pm. Chapel Hill
Tennis Club in Carrboro will host this exciting event. Come
out and enjoy tennis fitness, tennis play, drills and instruction
with a social gathering at the wine and cheese reception.
The Durham-Orange Community Tennis Association (DOCTA) is
a non-profit organization with the mission of promoting
and developing tennis in the Durham-Orange County communities.
The Welcome Back 50+Tennis Party is designed to encourage
individuals who are 50 years old are older to come back
to tennis, said John McLean – Board Chair. It is a
sport for a lifetime. He states “we want to remind
people that it provides great physical fitness, you meet
new people, and it’s great fun”.
