DOCTA’s 2003 AGENDA

In case you haven’t heard, the Durham-Orange Community Tennis Association is up and running for 2003 to promote tennis in the Durham- Orange County communities. We especially are encouraging you to get involved as a volunteer to help us make 2003 a success. Plans for the 2003 year include continuing our 1) DOCTA Open Junior Tennis Challenge, and 2) the USTA Adult and ATA Adult Southeastern Tennis Championships.

We want to encourage collaboration among private/public tennis clubs/ organizations to help promote tennis for the full community, not just those who can afford it. We want to promote tennis at all ages and levels, and spread the fun. DOCTA will have a focus on NJTL/USA 123 Programs and team tennis at the youth and adult levels. We will be reaching out to public/private schools to offering middle school and afterschool tennis programs. We will also be promoting a Celebrity Tennis Carnival this year in May. More details will be coming.

DOCTA has established an email database for those who would like to receive information via email, including the newsletter and tennis events, and so much more.

Membership in DOCTA is $10 per year. Provides great discounts to you.
