I am the Area 4 Board Representative for the USTA/Southern Section for North Carolina. My local responsibilities includes acting as a representative of NCTA at area special events and at local Community Tennis Association meetings. The Area 4 position serves as a representative between NCTA, CTA's and the tennis community at large.

Communication is important in the Durham/Orange County areas, as well as the other 2 counties I serve (Granville and Person). The goal is to grow and develop tennis in all the 4 counties. The Durham/Orange Community Tennis Association (DOCTA) is available to support the needs of the local community. They need to hear from you! AREA 4 ADVISORY COUNCIL

We are pleased to announce the first Area 4 Advisory Council. The group includes members from the 4 counties served by the Area 4 Board Representative: Durham, Granville, Orange and Person. The group held its’ first major meeting on November 28, 2005, and the following people have agreed to serve as members of the 2006 Area 4 Advisory Council to support the needs of the tennis community, and to promote tennis events within the 4 counties. Also, this group will settle CTA service area boundary disputes, and provide nominations to NCTA Committees. The 2006 Area 4 Advisory Council includes:
