Mission Statement The Durham-Orange Community Tennis Association (DOCTA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization established in 1998 and supported by volunteers within the Durham-Orange Community. The mission of DOCTA is to promote and encourage the development of tennis in the area of Durham and Orange Counties, North Carolina through the conducting of clinics, workshops, lessons, seminars, tournaments and other events and activities relating to the promotion and development of tennis. Our goal is to help children ages (4-18) develop and learn the skill of tennis and to provide opportunities for them to move from junior to college or professional participation. Tennis is a sport for a lifetime, and adults of all ages are given the opportunities to learn, improve their skills, and compete in leagues and other events.
