DOCTA
Open Highlights – August 18-20, 2006
Another great tournament year! The Durham-Orange Community
Tennis Association hosted its Annual Open Junior Tennis
Challenge on August 18-20, 2006 with over 145 participants,
ages 10 to 18 year olds from 23 cities in North Carolina
and Ashland, Kentucky. With the main site at Rock Quarry
Tennis Courts for Boys and Girls 10s and 12s in Durham,
other alternate public parks supporting these events through
Durham Parks and Recreation included Whipporwill Tennis
Courts for the Boys and Girls 14s, and Southern Boundaries
for the Boys and Girls 16s and 18s. The excitement of
all the players on the court was a thrill for young and
old to enjoy.
